The Urban Ministry Center is an interfaith organization involved both in ministries of compassion and in the study of urban issues. Their commitment is to the poor, the homeless and others in need. The UMC goal is to address their needs with love, compassion and tangible help by providing the services listed below. The Center is committed to making maximum use of existing resources and agencies, not duplicating these services. The Urban Ministry Center serves as a community resource for the study and discussion of urban issues as well as meeting basic needs through programs such as the Soup Kitchen and Room in the Inn.
On a regular basis, Holy Covenant members lead the daily Bible study for neighbors and serve as volunteers in their counseling and aid programs. To learn more or get involved, speak to Phil Kaveler or send an email to the church office.
